Curiosity, material obsession, and a deep connection to the natural world brought us here. Since 2016, our independent studio based in Charleston, SC has been perfuming and producing bespoke scents for thoughtful brands, designers, and properties.

Founder / Nose

Beau Burdette

Scent has shaped my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve worked across fragrance and brand development, drawn to the emotional and atmospheric power of smell. In 2016, I founded the contents co. and began learning perfumery firsthand. Nearly a decade later, I followed that curiosity to Grasse, France — the historic heart of perfumery.

This collection is guided by instinct and the willingness to wander.
